There’s a very simple solution to the issue of Telegram requiring payment to log in. Use an Android phone to download a Telegram X client from Google Play—it’s also officially developed. Logging in with this client is free.

If your account was purchased using a virtual phone number service, you can download an Android emulator, install the Google environment package, download Telegram X, log into your account, and then set up an email and two-factor verification. You don’t need to keep the Android emulator running—it essentially serves as a backup for your TG account.

Download the Tlegram X client from the Android app store, do not download it from other third-party sources: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.thunderdog.challegram
